Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa launched a province-wide tree plantation drive, inaugurating the campaign by planting saplings at FATA University Darra Adam Khel, Kohat to promote environmental awareness and sustainability.

The initiative was formally kicked off by Khalid Waqas, President Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, alongside Prof. Dr. Mohsin Nawaz, Vice-Chancellor FATA University, and Justice (R) Asadullah Khan Chamkani, Head of the Election Tribunal and Syndicate Member. They planted saplings at the university campus to mark the start of the campaign.

The ceremony was attended by Shah Zaman Durrani, Director Alkhidmat Volunteer Management Department, faculty members, students, and representatives from the Forest Department.

Speakers highlighted the critical role of trees in combating challenges such as rising pollution, increasing temperatures, and climate change. They noted that trees not only help purify the environment but also play a key role in human health, soil balance, and the preservation of natural resources.

AKF KP Kicks Off Tree Plantation Drive Across Province

Alkhidmat Foundation Friday launched a nationwide campaign aimed at bringing millions of out-of-school children into classrooms, while also inaugurating a new school building in Charsadda built at a cost of Rs80 million. 
The new Alkhidmat Foundation School in Sarki, Charsadda, spread over six kanals, was formally inaugurated by President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, Prof. Dr. Hafeezur Rehman, who was the chief guest at the ceremony. 
Speaking at the event, he announced the launch of the campaign under the slogan &ldquo;EK Bacha Taleem se Door &mdash; Har Bahana Na Manzoor.&rdquo; The initiative seeks to raise public awareness, work with the government and partner welfare organizations, and encourage school-age children currently working in workshops, markets and on the streets to return to education. 
He said millions of children across Pakistan remain out of school because of poverty and other social pressures, forcing many to contribute to household incomes instead of attending schools. 
The newly inaugurated school currently has more than 900 students enrolled, reflecting what the foundation described as its effort to expand access to quality education at the community level. Across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the organization said it now operates 26 schools serving more than 10,000 students, including 800 orphaned children receiving free education.&nbsp; 
Speakers at the ceremony said Pakistan has more than 26 million out-of-school children, while over 5 million are in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa alone, figures they said underscore the urgency of coordinated educational interventions. 
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Emir JI KP Central Abdul Wasi, President AKF KP, Khalid Waqas, Emir JI Charsadda, Shah Hussain Advocate, President District Bar Association Charsadda, Mujeebur Rehman Advocate, District President AKF Charsadda Qari Shafiullah, others. 
Later, a science lab and an Alkhidmat Bano Qabil Center were also inaugurated at the Behlola campus.

Alkhidmat Launches Nationwide School Enrollment Drive

During Ramadan 2026, Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa carried out a wide-ranging relief campaign across the province, with total Ramadan assistance reaching Rs368.84 million and 481,562 beneficiaries served. The welfare initiatives were aimed at supporting low-income families, patients and other vulnerable groups in urban and remote districts alike.

The organization distributed more than 15,000 food packages, including flour, cooking oil, rice, pulses and other essential items, to households identified as poor or in need. In addition, 29,693 people were served meals through its Iftar Dastarkhwan program, while cooked food packs were provided to thousand of roadside workers and travelers.

Cash assistance also formed part of the campaign. A total of Rs7,866,244 was distributed as Zakat-ul-Fitr to eligible recipients.

Through its Ramadan Sasta Tandoor project, the foundation operated 28 subsidized tandoors across the province, supplying 599,062 pieces of bread. Meat distribution efforts included 16,146 kilograms of mutton, with an expenditure of Rs32.29 million.

Orphan care remained a central focus. A total of 908 orphaned children received Eid gifts, while 2,772 were given Eid cash assistance. Another 151 children received Ramadan ration packages. In addition, 67 Iftar dinners were organized for orphaned children, and 1,700 were provided with meat during the month. In several districts, orphan children were taken to shopping centers to purchase Eid items of their own choosing.

Iftar gatherings were also held at Aghosh Alkhidmat Homes, where members of the community joined children for meals and spent time with them.

The foundation extended support to displaced families and residents affected by harsh weather conditions in Tirah, Khyber district. Assistance included cooked meals, ration supplies, health services, clean water, winter packages and winter clothing.

Healthcare initiatives continued throughout the month. More than 1,120 patients at Alkhidmat hospitals received daily Iftar meals while Alkhidmat Mobile Health Units provided free medical checkups, laboratory tests and medicines in multiple districts.

Children with thalassemia, registered at Alkhidmat Thalassemia Centers, were also included in the outreach. More than 130 children received Eid clothing, shoes and Eid cash.

Support was extended to students and street children as well. The organization distributed Eid gifts and cash to 763 individuals in this category, arranged Iftar meals and provided meat to more than 460 children.

More than 15,000 Alkhidmat volunteers took part in these efforts, assisting with food distribution, meal preparation, healthcare services and event coordination throughout the province.

Alkhidmat’s Rs368.84 million Ramadan Relief Reaches 481,562 Across KP

Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (AKF KP) Tuesday organized an iftar dinner for street children at the Academic Blocks of the University of Peshawar and launched a province-wide Eid shopping drive for orphaned children. 
At the iftar gathering, Prof. Dr. Hafeezur Rehman, President AKF Pakistan, joined street children, sitting and sharing a meal with them alongside other officials, including Khalid Waqas, President Alkhidmat Foundation KP; Farman Ghani, Deputy Superintendent of Railways Peshawar; and Iftekhar Ahmed, the organization&rsquo;s district president. 
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr Hafeezur Rehman noted that first Alkhidmat Child Protection Center was established in Peshawar in 2013 with just 50 street children. Today, he said, the network has expanded to 76 centers across Pakistan, serving approximately 4,000 children. 
&ldquo;In Peshawar alone, there are now 24 centers supporting 1,245 street children,&rdquo; he said, adding that the centers offer informal education, meals, uniforms, books and health screenings. Many children from these programs, he added, have gone on to secure admissions in schools, colleges and universities. 
At the conclusion of the event, children received Eid gifts, including clothes, shoes and cash assistance. 
In a separate initiative, the foundation also launched its annual Eid shopping drive for orphaned children in Peshawar. The event was attended by Abdul Wasi, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami KP Central, along with Khalid Waqas, Iftekhar Ahmed and Dr. Muhammad Adil, Manager Orphan Care Department. 
During the drive, children were taken to local mega mart, where each child was given a voucher of Rs6,000 to purchase Eid items of their own choosing, an experience organizers said was designed to bring joy and restore a sense of independence. 
The campaign, officials said, will continue across all districts of the province, reaching thousands of orphaned children ahead of Eid.

AKF KP Hosts Iftar for Street Children, Launches Eid Shopping Drive for Orphans

During the holy month of Ramadan, Alkhidmat Foundation, in collaboration with the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), distributed meat among members of the transgender community across several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The initiative, carried out as part of Ramadan relief activities. Volunteers delivered meat packages to members of the transgender community.

An event, in connection, was held at the head office AKF KP, where the transgender were given meat packages. Provincial Patron AKF KP Sabir Hussain Awan, President AKF KP Khalid Waqas and other Alkhidmat officials were present on the occasion. 
&ldquo;Every individual in society deserves respect and the opportunity to share in the blessings of Ramadan,&rdquo; Sabir Hussain said, adding that the foundation seeks to extend assistance to all those in need regardless of background.
